Lereng Kelir
Semarang is one of the tourism objects in Semarang regency, sub-district of
Jambu, specifically in Brongkol Village at Gertas, with the concept of the
bamboo post where we can see the scenery from a height deserves that beautiful
scenery for your Instagram feeds. From this bamboo post of Kelir Hillside
Semarang, there are so many tourists who visiting this attraction at the peak
of Kelir hillside to see the mountain ranges scenery.
The sub-district
Jambu is flanked by a lot of mountains so that it's perfect to see the green
natural scenery from the peak of Kelir, hence this attraction becomes one of
the places that we must visit to enjoy the natural beauty in the District of
Semarang. From Kelir hillside we can see almost all of the area of South
Semarang.
For the location
of the Kelir Hillside itself is in Gertas Hamlet, the route from Semarang City
itself takes around 2 hours. When the visitors have arrived in its parking area
the visitors have to walk by foot or rents motorcycle which rides by the local
residents to take us to the peak of Kelir hillside or we can hike for 1 hours
or more. The road is quite steep and requires lots of energy, but it will
disappear when we enjoy the fresh air from nature.
On the way to the
Bamboo post at Kelir Hillside, the visitors will find a big stone called the
bride stone in the edge of the mountainside which is fenced by wood. The
residents of Brongkol village called that stone as the bride stone, therefore
that hill is usually called by the local resident as the Bride stone.
The name of bride
stone is not that short given, there are story and philosophy of the bride
stone by the people in that area. According to the elders and youths of Gertas
hamlet, it was told that in the past there is a couple who met at the top of
the stone but in the day when they were met this couples were disappeared and
never come back. This background of the story becomes the beginning of that
appellation because, in that stone, the couple disappeared. This folklore is believed as the origin of Matrimonial stone in Kelir hillside tourism, in
Jambu, district of Semarang.
